5.3 Servo Motor Driven Displacement Pumps
In our Servo Gearmotor Driven Displacement Pumps, the medium is displaced
by a plunger or piston. Hereby the plunger or the piston is driven
by a threaded spindle (ball screw spindle or trapezoid threaded spindle)
and a servo geared motor.
Our Servo Motor Driven Pumps are available both for low pressure and
for ultra high pressure. The pressure range of our pumps range up
to 14,000 bar. Depending on the application, several versions for
different pressures, volume flows and media being pumped are available.
Each spindle pump is delivered with its affiliated servo converter
including system cables.
Optionally complete pump units with integrated pressure and flow control
as well as units with several interconnected pumps are available on
request. This would be useful if a continuous non-uninterrupted support
must be guaranteed.
All of our units are customized assembled and tested in our workshop.
Advantages of Motor Driven Displacement Pumps to other pressure generators
| |
Precise metering device for also very small quantities of
dispending fluids of 0,0002 nl/min to 12l/min |
| |
Very precise pressure generation is possible, for instance
for calibration of pressure gauges |
| |
Maintains high pressure or compenation of small leakages,
being energy-efficient over a long period of time |
Disadvantages of Motor Driven Displacement Pumps
A Motor Driven Displacement Pumps cannot produce a continuous non-interrupted
volume flow rate. Once the piston/ plunger reaches the end position,
the piston needs to reverse to start a new suction process. This disadvantage
can be eliminated by combining two or more alternate operating spindle
pumps.

Fields of Application
| |
Calibration of pressure gauges |
| |
Precise compression test device for pressure bearing parts |
| |
Burst test rigs |
| |
Precise metering also under very high pressure, for instance
in laboratories and chemical industry |
| |
Constant pressure generating by low flow rates, for instance
as a pressure generator for triaxial cells |
Servo Converter Interface
The pump control result from either via an analog input signal + /-10V
or for high accuracy requirements via Profibus. Furthermore several
digital inputs and outputs for end positions, limits, etc. are available.
The displacement is exported analog (0 ... 10V) and with a resolution
of 10 bits. For more precise applications we can provide a SSI or
Profibus interface with 25 bits.
On request various other functions are available.
Available Versions
Different variants of motor driven pumps, depending on the actual
application, are available. The main selection criteria are the operating
pressure, the maximum and minimum volumetric flow rate, the required
accuracy of metering, the high-pressure medium and the durability
of the pump.
The individual variants differ in motor performance, gear ratio, functional
prinziple of the drive spindle (ball screw, trapezoidal screw) as
well as the design and the material of the seals.
Depending on pressure and medium, a variant with a high pressure plunger
and a variant with a piston is available.
