5.1 Pressure intensifiers with hydraulic drive
   
 






Pressure intensifiers permit the generation of a target pressure in a high-pressure medium through multiplication of the drive pressure by the basic transmission ratio in each case and an appropriate efficiency. The drive here is hydraulic and the drive medium is usually hydraulic oil. Other liquid drive media can also be used. You can obtain further information on this on request. The hydraulic drives can also be supplied as a double-action version, i.e. equipped with two high-pressure cylinders. With some structural differences pressure intensifiers are suitable for the compression of gases and liquids.
