1.1 High-pressure pipes
As a rule, our seamless drawn high-pressure pipes are stainless and
are made according to our specifications . All high-pressure pipes
are checked according to strict regulations for strength, cracks,
chemical composition, dimensions, etc. On request a relevant 3.1B
certificate can also be furnished. To achieve higher fatigue strength,
our high-pressure pipes are provided with high-pressure connections
(58° taper and left-hand thread) and cold-worked on customer request.
Standard lengths are usually 6-7 m, though on request other lengths
are also available. Please indicate the following information after
the order number of the respective pipe when ordering conduit nipples
with high-pressure connections on both sides:
- KG/KG (for taper on both sides / thread)
-100 (length in mm, here as an example 100mm)
On request we also supply ready-machined (e.g. bent according to drawing,
provided with taper and thread on both sides and subsequently cold-worked)
pipes.

| * The operating pressure is designed
here for predominantly static load and a temperature of 20°C.
In the case of high dynamic load (e.g. pulsating pressure) as
well as at higher temperatures, the permissible pressure must
be reduced. The amount of the reduction depends on the number
of load changes, among other things. We would be glad to advise
you on this. |

| High-pressure pipes may only be
bent with special bending tools. Conventional bending tools
usually have bending radii that are too small and thus damage
the high-pressure pipes (hairline cracks). The bending radius
must correspond to at least 7 times the outside diameter of
the pipe. You will find bending tools for high-pressure pipes
in category “7 – Tools”. High-pressure pipes must never be heated
over 400°C. |
